  Laura started quilting over 10 years ago and while she loves seeing where a project will go, she often wants the confidence of knowing what a quilt will look like before cutting her fabric.  Laura will show you how to access the software, design a block or an entire quilt and save it to the cloud.  PreQuilt can be used on PCs, Macs, tablets, and even mobile phones. 

  • Create and design your own custom blocks in Block Maker.

  • Use PreQuilt like your own digital sketchbook. 

  • Browse the digital color cards for all major fabric manufacturers.

  • Mockup your quilt or coloring page with printed fabric swatches.

  • The Fabric Calculator feature will give you recommendations on how much fabric yardage you'll need as well as recommendations on how you might cut the fabric to make your quilt. 

  • Use the Randomization feature to choose colors, blocks and block orientations.

  Stain Glass Dresden with Audra Rasnake 

  Audra is a fourth-generation quilter and grew up literally underneath a quilt frame. She’s been hand quilting for 30 years and has been doing needle turned appliqué for 20 years. She considers herself a traditional quilter. She began teaching hand quilting, EPP, and needle turned appliqué about 10 years ago and then, in 2014, decided to enter the world of competition quilting. Audra has won many ribbons at national shows since then, many for her hand quilting. One of her greatest passions is folded cutwork. She uses appliqué in every quilt she does. Audra enjoys helping beginners overcome their fear of the dreaded “A” word. 

  In this workshop,  Audra will teach her Stain Glass Dresden pattern. This old, traditional pattern gets a creative update by turning it into stained glass! It is made using the folded cutwork technique and reverse appliqué. Any color choices can be used. Batiks or marbled fabrics work especially well to give it an authentic stained glass appearance.

  Audra is a fourth-generation quilter and grew up literally underneath a quilt frame. She’s been hand quilting for 30 years and has been doing needle turned appliqué for 20 years. She considers herself a traditional quilter. She began teaching hand quilting, EPP, and needle turned appliqué about 10 years ago and then, in 2014, decided to enter the world of competition quilting. Audra has won many ribbons at national shows since then, many for her hand quilting. One of her greatest passions is folded cutwork. She uses appliqué in every quilt she does. Audra enjoys helping beginners overcome their fear of the dreaded “A” word. 

  This is a two-day workshop.  On Thursday, Audra will teach French Boutis in the morning and Folded Cutwork Fluer de Lis needle turned applique in the afternoon.  A day long workshop on Friday, will consist of creating a Celtic Tulip applique piece.
