Hosted by Crystal Coast Quilters’ Guild and Croatan Quilt Guild
Join us on March 23, 2024, at On the Rocks Restaurant, Atlantic Beach (across from Doubletree) for a day of fun, food, party favors, door prizes, Challenge quilt display and awards, and quilts, quilts, and more quilts.
Special Guest Speaker will be Lynn Lancaster Gorges. Lynn is a textile conservation and restoration expert specializing in antique and vintage quilts, clothing, military uniforms, and flags (early 1700’s - present), and owner of Historic Textiles Studio. She will be speaking on "The History of Quilting Bees" and giving a trunk show of her many historic quilts created by quilting bees.
“Bee Fun” Day of Sharing Challenge is open to all attendees. One entry per attendee; Winners selected by Viewer’s Choice. Quilt perimeter MUST be 60” in any shape (i.e., 12”x18” or 20”x20”x20”); with at least one bee on the project. Bee Challenge instructions are available here. Bring your project the morning of Day of Sharing. Awesome prizes to be awarded!
Show and Tell will be limited to ONE item only per person. Please provide a brief description of your item on a 3"x5" index card. Index cards will be available at check-in.
Raffle Quilts and ticket sales will be permitted. Please include your request with registration to ensure a table and chair will be available for your use.
CCQG will have a Charity Raffle quilt that will be given away on this day. Tickets will be $2 each or 3 for $5. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to Katey's Kits, a community organization that collects, purchases and supplies feminine hygiene products in Carteret and surrounding counties to young women who are experiencing period poverty.
Registration includes continental breakfast, plated lunch, and dessert. Deadline to register is March 10, 2024. Doors open at 9AM. Be sure to wear your Guild name tag to be entered into a special drawing! Register online or mail your checks to:
