Join us as Heather Kojan, teacher, quilter, and published quilt designer helps us find fresh ideas for those stale projects in our closets.  Heather's presentation "Quilt Remix: UFO's, Orphan Blocks and what was I thinking??!!" will help us come to terms with those UFOs, fabric and little sewn bits taking over our sewing room.  She will talk about why we have them, how to finish them and maybe when to get rid of them!

    Doors open at 5:30pm.

    Heather Kojan Biography:

I've been sewing since my teens and quilting for more than 25 years. My first quilt was an Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day. Since I had a king sized bed, it made sense to me to make a king sized quilt. Go big or go home, right? That quilt was in shades of mauve and dusty blue (hello mid '80's!) Let's just say my fabric tastes have changed since then!

I consider myself a modern quilter, with traditional roots. I'm the founder of the Baltimore Modern Quilt Guild and love speaking to different groups and sharing the modern aesthetic. You can often find me teaching at quilt guilds and quilt shows around the country.

I'm a contributing author to the book Classic Modern Quilts and a featured quilter in The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters by Sherri Lynn Wood, and 50 Little Gifts published by Lucky Spool. You can frequently find my work in Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Magazine, Modern Patchwork Magazine, Quiltmaker Magazine, Curated Quilts Magazine and QuiltCon Magazine.

Let's connect! You can find me on my blog: www.heatherkojan.com or on Instagram @heatherkojan.

Join us as Emma Jane Powell, teacher, quilter, traveler and owner of Dream It - Quilt It!  will help us all get real about those unfinished projects as she guilds us through "Managing Unfinished Projects".

This fun, self-deprecating, and interactive presentation will kick start our drive to change the pending status of ongoing sewing projects. She will help us dive deeper into why these projects are stagnant, and take an honest approach for how to proceed with quilts we may have lost our enthusiasm for, or would love to finish up already! Guild members will leave with time management and productivity tools to manage the quilts you want to finish!

    Doors open at 5:30pm.

If you have any questions, please contact Chris.
