Join us for our annual CCQG Birthday Party!

Please join us to celebrate another year in the life of our guild.

Come play with us for games and party favors!

Luncheon will be your choice of:

The Brooklyn Smoked salmon with dill cream cheese, pickled onion and capers on a New York bagel, with a side salad.
Mediterranean Morning Quiche Spinach, tomatoes, and feta cheese with a side salad.
Turkey Gobbler Turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, and arugula with apple chutney on croissant with chips.
The Addict Chicken, mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, pickled red onion, basil garlic aioli, arugula and chipolte mayo on toasted focaccia bread with chips.

Your lunch includes a bottle of water or tea (sweetened or unsweetened) plus a slice of birthday cake!

The cost of the party is $24.50 per person, paid with your reservation. (This amount includes tax and tip).

Yes! It's that time of again...."Tips, Tricks, or Treasure" monthly drop in presentation is this week

The first Tuesday of each month, at 10:30am Mary will give a presentation on making yo-yos and using them in your quilts. The presentation will last 10-15 minutes.

For months we've worked on projects, swapped fabric, examined quilts, chatted up a storm. Now, it's time for a significant modification and a welcome addition, designed to enhance your Open Quilting experience.

UGLY Fabric Block of the Month (Thursday, September 17, 2026)

Exciting, New Block of the Month (BOM)

Ugly Fabric BOM

WHEN: September 2026-September 2027…13 months of blocks. You will receive a block pattern each month. Some months you will make one block some months more than one block of same pattern.

We will be using the book, BARN STAR SAMPLER by Shelley Cavanna, for the monthly patterns. *** I encourage you to buy the book but pattern will be available each month.

WHERE: Blocks will be given out at the Guild meeting each month.

WHO: ANYONE and everyone may participate.

FABRIC NEEDED: You will use your own fabric EXCEPT for ½ yard of “ugly fabric” that you will give to the cause. GREAT STASH BUSTER!!!

WHAT’S THE CATCH: Funny you should ask…..lol! Each month along with the pattern, you will be given a piece of someone else’s “ugly fabric” that you must incorporate into that months block. It can be any size of usage but must be able to be seen.

FINISHED SIZE: Book’s finished size is 80 x 100; but we have also sized it down to 76 x 80. So you have a choice.

FINISHED: Finished sewn tops will be shown in January 2028.

COST: $15.00.

The program this month will be given by Ellen LeRoy, a nationally-published beach portrait specialist based in Emerald Isle. She will discuss photography and how to get those great quilt photographs.

Make sure you arrive around 5:30PM for a little social time and snacks.
