The Machine Embroidery Group will meet at Shepard of the Sea Lutheran Church, Atlantic Beach, after Drop-In, from Noon-2:00 pm.

October’s project/demonstration a “Coloring Book” Zipper Bag with a “Rotary Cutter” Design on it.

Please join us if you have any embroidery machine. This design is for a 5x7 hoop size. If your machine only does a 4x4” design let me know, so I can bring the design in the smaller size. I can provide a lot of help with BERNINA Embroidery machines, but if it is another brand you will need to know how to use it. I will transfer the design we use in class with a USB stick. If your machine transfers design some other way, please call me prior to class.  There is no fee for class. This is a new design I just purchased, so you will only be able to use it in class.

Supply List:

• Embroidery Machine (cleaned & oiled) & supplies 
• New Embroidery Sharp Needle Size 75 or 80 
• White Bobbin Thread in your bobbin 
• Large Oval Embroidery Hoop and Embroidery Foot 
• Embroidery Thread: Black and Cream 
• Fabric Scissors & Smaller thread snips
• Seam Ripper, point turner (if you have one) -I will bring one also, Wonder clips 
• I will bring the design 

• Bottom Front: A Cream or White (1) 9”x6” piece (You will be Embroidering a Rotary Cutter on this and coloring it) 
• Top Front: A Print you like (1) 9”x4” 
• Back: Same Print (1) 9”x7” 
• Lining: Bottom front Lining (1) 9”x4” (Any light fabric for inside) 
• Top Front Lining (1) 9”x4” 
• Back Lining (1) 9”x7” 
• Back Pocket-Fabric you like that compliments the Front & Back fabric 
• Pocket (1) 9”x12” 
• Interfacing: (Woven Iron-on Fusible Interfacing) 
• Bottom Front Interfacing: 9”x6” 
• Top Front Interfacing: 9”x4” 
• Back Pocket Interfacing: 9”x6” 
• Foam or Batting - 9”x7” 
• Tear away stabilizer large enough to fit the hoop 
• Zipper 10-12” Not Metal • 20”--1/2” to 1” wide ribbon- coordinates with your fabric
