September has somehow creeped up on us.
I am looking forward to cooler temperatures. I know many of you enjoyed summer vacations and others took classes. We look forward to seeing all the creative work done this past month.
A big thank you to Kristeen for a fun evening of games at the August meeting. And root beer floats! And we look forward to September’s meeting when we share our favorite tool or gadget that we just had to have now wonder why we purchased it?!
Pamlico’s Day of Sharing is coming up in September and from registration, Crystal Coast will be well represented! It should be a fun day out. I hope many of you will bring a quilt to share, remember they may not have seen the one you are bringing, it doesn’t necessarily have to have been made this year.
The sew day for the Breast Cancer awareness and Hospice quilts was a big success! And a lot of interesting quilt tops were being worked on. I may have actually learned a better way to do a jelly roll run, too! Seems what I learned about 7 years ago isn’t the easiest way to do it!
And Thank you to Stephanie Austin for taking over the Chairwomanship of Hero Quits Committee! We look forward to resuming this valued committee.
Don’t forget that the extended Drop-in has been moved to the first Tuesday of each month to coincide with Tips, Tricks and Techniques.
