Spring has arrived and so has the green pollen. April brings warmer temps, more day light hours and lots of opportunities for our guild: Uncle Eli's Quilting Party, Guild Retreat, BHA Public Day, New Bern Quilt Show, Guild meeting, BOM start and making Kids Quilts from kits provided by Holly.
We had a long but meaningful March meeting, so be sure to read the minutes submitted by Debbie. Cathy Crandell presented the program on the future of our guild, member participation with ideas and suggestions are encouraged, so look for Cathy's emails and plan to attend the April 17 meeting to continue the discussion, your input is vital. During the discussion I heard comments for future programs or workshops to include basic quilting tips and "how to _________" sessions. Any suggestions or ideas about subject matter for this, please send me an email.
We could schedule some mini workshops, like half day on bindings (several techniques), etc.
