Dear Guild Members,
If you missed the January meeting, we discussed a lot of things of interest to our members. We started off by installing our new Secretary, Pat Bowes. I’m sure she will do a bang-up job! After a brief discussion, it was decided that we would preface our guild meetings with a social half-hour with some light refreshments being offered at 5:30. The regular meeting will still start at 6:00.
After discussions at the ENC Guild Presidents’ meeting and our Budget meeting, the Board has decided to charge $5 each for the Raffle tickets this year. We hope this change will help make ticket sales easier for our members. More on that in an article below. We have some raffle ticket selling opportunities right around the corner. The Emerald Isle St. Patrick’s Day Festival is on March 11th and Publick Day in Beaufort is on April 15th. If you are able to help sell tickets at either one of these festivals, it will be greatly appreciated!
I’m happy to announce that Debbie Goines has offered to take over managing the Membership for us. Thank you, Debbie! We will miss Kelly but wish her all the best on her next adventures!
If you think you’d be interested in helping out with the Raffle quilt for 2025, now would be a great time to start sharing ideas and get started with that project. hint, hint…
I just learned today that the Quilters by the Sea Quilt Guild will be hosting a Day of Sharing with special guest, Susan Brubaker Knapp, on March 25th. Information is included in this newsletter.
Hope everyone has a Happy Valentine’s Day!
Keep quilting.
Keep Stitching,
Laurie
