In celebration of National Quilting Month, Core Sound Museum & Heritage Center will display “Quilts from Off and the Stories They Brought” during the month of March at its Morehead City gallery located at 806 Arendell Street. CCQG members have historic family quilts in the exhibit.  Make plans to see some lovely quilts; learn more about your craft and perhaps see your friends in a little different light. The Core Sound gallery store and the exhibit are open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 5:00.  Additional historic quilts from Down East families will be on display at the Core Sound Museum, 1785 Island Road, Harkers Island.

There is also still time to see the exhibit at Bogue Banks Public Library in Pine Knoll Shores featuring Dorothy “Pinky” Porter’s gorgeous applique and hand quilting skills! The library is open Monday-Wednesday 9:00-5:30; Thursday 10:30-7:00 and 9:00-5:30 Friday and Saturday.
