| In 2021, Cape Lookout National Seashore became the first Atlantic coastal International Dark Sky Park in the National Park Service, recognizing the exceptional quality of its night skies. This designation was the inspiration for this year's Guild Raffle Quilt "Stargazing at the Cape". For the 4th year, Cape Lookout National Seashore, Crystal Coast Stargazers, and Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center will be hosting the Crystal Coast Star Party 2025 on beautiful Harkers Island, NC. The two-day event will offer starlight cruises to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse; public stargazing on the mainland; a presentation from NASA’s Mars Rover Mission Lead Nagin Cox; and astronomy activities for kids. All activities are free, except for ferry tickets. Registration for the Star Party is requested and you just may see our raffle quilt there. Welcome to our member: Sheri L. This month's Between Stitches is here. |
